Concept Art Color and Compostion.

Here is the completed thumbnail sheet from the earlier upload. It was mainly to work out a few different compositions for my final concept art and the way I want my world or be coloured. I am more proud of these thumbnails then I am of my last ones. I feel that I have begun to move away from making muddy artwork and closer to cleaner paintings. Although there are still aspects of my old habits in these images.

Out of these images I have chosen the three that I feel look the best and will be making a decision on which to use as my final.

As you can see I seem to favour the blues in these images so It looks like ill be basing my final model on one of the inner rings of my city, where the inhabitants are more high class. Leading to more extravagant building designs. something I am working on in my orthographic drawings as of this upload.

Concept Art Designs.

Here are the four designs for my concept art.

Final Concept Art Design's 1

Here are a few of my final designs for my concept art of Lalique. Personally I like number 90 the most (only because Jordan made number 89 so I wouldn't want to use his work.

Ill probably be writing another section of my travelogue to include some descriptions of the structures of the city, as I neglected to include it in the original.

Tell me what you guys think, whilst I continue to develop these ideas.

Quick Pen/Pencil Thumbnails

Here is a few of my later thumbnails. Some of them are not fully complete as I was just using them to work out certain compositions for streets and environments. They are quick so forgive the poor drawing in a few of them.

No manga women this time Phil.

Maya- Digital Set

Here is the work I have been doing for the Digital set tutorial, this one has taken me the longest to get up on the blog. There's just so much to model.

The completed Alley way model, pre texturing. This model was time consuming due to the small amounts of details that needed to be included. However it was fairly straight forward in terms of modeling. I ran into a few issues, certain models turning black after being extruded but I eventually found a work around.

The lamp post model that will be incorporated into the Alley way scene once the basic texturing is complete. Creating this model has been very helpful in learning to use the tools available to me more often, there were times when I needed to do things that Alan didn't have too which made the experience more engaging then just sitting and repeating what was happening in the tutorial.

The crate model continues onto the next tutorial so this will be completed soon.

What if Metropolis: OGR

10:28- I have just realized I have forgotten the links to the film reviews, animation work. Sorry about that I was so focused on the writing that I breezed over the rest of it.
